Meet Recap

The Highland Hornets finished their regular season 6-0 in the Suburban League for the second straight year and all but won the American Division with the tri-match sweep of Barberton and Aurora. Next weeks Suburban League Post-Season should cap off a wonderful season that the boys 9-2 (6-0) have put together this year. Leading the Hornets at the par 36 Pine Hills Golf Course was Ross Scherler with a two over par 38. David Laib put together a 39, along with the other two scorers Cooper Hrabak and Cameron Jean with 40’s a piece. Carson Wirebaugh and Cooper Phelps rounded the Hornets out with a 41 each. The Hornets could clinch their 4th straight League Title next Thursday as they look to gain some momentum heading into the Post-Season.

Scoring for Aurora were James Robinson with a 39, Michael Avalon with a 40, Luke Radis with a 43 and Matthew Masseli with a 46. Mason Wolkov shot a 47 and Brandon Schanbauch carded a 49.

Leading Barberton with a 40 was Jaydan Morgan. Alea Griffith posted a 43 along with a 50 from Nelson Velo and a 53 from Brevan Mitchell. Lukas Chester also shot a 55.
